Making their debut on February 17, 2005, Marie and Anna Corinne Von Helson were the hostesses of the The Second Gaian Anniversary Ball that took place a day later. Claiming to be the two most powerful women on Gaia, [1], their appearance coincided with the Von Helson Mansion appearing in Durem.

Throughout the Ball itself, the sisters made sporadic appearances to users and presented them with 'swank', in the form of the left and right halves of a V Pin which the Helsons bore on their breasts, as well as hats and balloons.

As the ball progressed, Gambino himself slipped in and began the discreet distribution of G Pins amongst the users as well. Eventually, the Von Helson sisters called him out and evicted him from their mansion, using the captured Gino as a hostage.

With the appearance of Gambino's Tower in Isle de Gambino, the sisters once again took action and appeared outside their Durem mansion, selling Anti-Gambino Picket Signs for 500g each.

In a climax of the Gambino vs. Von Helsons event, Gambino's Tower, built with donations from users, collapsed with Gambino's assassination, reaching across the map to fall squarely on the Von Helson Mansion, but this wasn't the end of the Sisters...


The Von Helson Sisters returned on July 10, 2007 apparently surviving the ordeal of their mansion being crushed by Gambino's tower. They asked for 500g donations, in return for a a Blood Drop Brooch. This is part of a Gaia quest, in which Edmund and the Sisters are building contributions towards unknown purposes.


On August 31, 2007, Cindy Donovinh announced that the sisters rebuilt their mansion. Later in a manga, Anna Corinne and Marie capture Gino and Liam at a nightclub. Liam and Gino Gambino were imprisoned in the dungeon of Von Helson Castle. Once again, Gino was being used as leverage against Gambino.

Vladimir ordered the sisters to kill Liam. Ultimately they failed after exposing his well toned body and subsequently being seduced by his advances.

Nothing further is known of their fate after Vladimir's death.

#1: April Fools '05

Von Helson Sisters have returned
After receiving millions in gold from Gaians, Johnny's great tower collapses...right onto the Von Helson Sisters mansion and themselves, thus crushing them.
This manga marked their supposed death.

#19: Damian

Liam and Gino are at a bar having a chat about Johnny and his odd behavior. When suddenly two women step into the bar, Liam spots them and attempts to hit on them. Gino has a bad feeling about it, and gets up to leave. The two women are Marie and Anna Corinne Von Helson, and as they lift their lips to show their fangs, the rest of the bar - full of women - show their own.
This manga marked the return of the Von Helson sisters.

#20: Unveiled

At the Von Helson Castle, Liam and Gino are chained to a wall, Liam doesn't seem to be bothered by this. Suddenly the door opens and there are three silhouettes. It is the Von Helson sisters and a man in a cloak who recognizes Gino.

#21: Gun Show

The man is revealed to be Vladimir Von Helson. Still chained, Liam and Gino talk. Then a second man shows up and grabs Gino's face in his hand. Liam threatens him, but is knocked out.
The second man is Zhivago. And as he turns to leave, the Von Helson Sisters are at the door. Gino questions if either these women are his mother; the sisters laugh at the thought.
As Liam wakes, Zhivago tells the sisters to: "Kill the stupid one". The women grin showing their fangs at the request. Liam asks Gino: which one of them [us] is the the stupid one.
As they prepare to attack, Liam remains calm and cool. Asking that before they kill him...do they know a good vet. His joke leads to him flexing his muscles and calling them sick pythons. The sisters become overwhelmed, unchain him, and then fall into his arms blushing and nuzzling.

#22: Prom Drama

Gino is at Liam's apartment watching TV. Cindy Donovinh reports that there will be a Gaia Prom hosted by Johnny. Outside the apartment window, Marie and Anna press their faces against the window, hearts are in their eyes. Liam tells them: "SHOO! No Liam for you! No GUN SHOW!"
The sisters stalk Liam and find that he was trying to ask Vanessa and Moira; they call them tramps and tell them to stay away from Liam, Vanessa and Moira laugh loudly, since they both said "No" to Liam's invitation in the first place. Later the sisters track down Natasha and call her a harlot and threaten her to stay away from Liam. Natasha doesn't take kindly to this threat and pierces their ears together with studs. They retreat, but stuck together.

Gaia's Lost Manga

A Gaia Artist is quoted:

"And now, the unproduced bits of the prom comic script. Since these comics never got produced, you should just pretend that none of the plot developments or character interactions presented here ever happened."

Lance and Devin do the Charleston opposite each other, both laughing as the crowd cheers. The Von Helson sisters dance side-by-side with sheepish grins on their faces, while the crowd boos enthusiastically.

  • Vladimir Von Helson is the Father of the Von Helson Sisters, thus they are vampires.
  • Louie Von Helson and Ian are their half-brothers.
  • The Von Helson Sisters' mother was a showgirl. (As stated in the manga "Gun Show")
  • With Marie's return, she wears an eye patch to cover the scar on her right eye (from when the tower collapse).
  • With Anna's return, she now has a touch of red on the tips of her hair.
  • Doll appearance: SDPlus #29 Von Helson Twins.
  • With SDPlus #29, the twins can be equipped as individuals.

The reaction to the Von Helson sisters first appearance on Gaia was met with criticism and negativity. Largely because of their personality and attitude, though their character designs were complimented. There were a few fans and a short lived fanthread, but neither of these were enough to support the sisters in the long run.
April 2k5, the negativity toward the sisters is said to be the contributing factor to their death. As April past, more fans spoke up about their like for the sisters and were disappointed at the decision on killing them.
With the sisters return, along with a new design and vampire status, the reactions were much more positive. Though some Gaians later questioned the new Von Helson's twins and their apparently new personalities. In this thread Old vs New - Von Helson Sisters.
