Dr. Singh (pictured left) is a naturalist whose current job is announcing the Evolving Item Report with her companion Timmy. She has spent quite some time out in the field studying the habits and growth patterns of some of Gaia's rarest creatures, to inform the Gaia populace when their pets and items are due to evolve. She was first introduced to the Gaian public in November 2007, for her first report.

[edit] Mistreatment of Timmy

Singh seems to be a nice, polite person, but has been known to let her mad scientist personality show through. In her second report, she implied that she would put Timmy in a 55-gallon steel drum to contain his excitement. By the fourth report, she had carried out her threats and Timmy was in the drum, which appeared to be a Toxic Barrel, a housing item found in Enchanted Golden Trunks. Timmy stayed in the barrel for a couple of weeks and then came out, looking dishevelled, and started to evolve himself.

Singh's original plans of stopping Timmy being so excited backfired by the fifteenth report, as Timmy, now evolving into a bloodthirsty monster, bit her hand and latched on to her, appearing to be devouring it with her arm. In the seventeenth report, she fought against Timmy, as he was starting to take over her mind and speak directly through her mouth. She appeared to have lost the battle, as she managed to say 'Timmy... is... new master...'.

She may have regained control by the eighteenth report, but in the nineteenth report, as Timmy had been lifted off the ground due to being so far up devouring her arm, she appeared to be talking strangely. It turned out Timmy had fully taken control. Singh couldn't stand it and fought back for control, so she could quickly get some useful information into the report, only to be taken over by Timmy again.

By the twentieth report, Timmy and Singh reached an agreement where Timmy only controlled the Doctor's mind during their spare time and she had control for the Evolving Item Reports. As Timmy continued to take more and more control however, the Doctor put her foot down and hired Labtech Gene to remove (and possibly cure) Timmy in her twenty-fourth report. By the twenty-sixth report Gene had begun the surgery. In the twenty-seventh report Gene had completely disassembled Dr. Singh and Timmy. By the next report twenty eighth report she and Timmy had both been reassembled they were, for the moment, doing fine. They were shown to be fully recovered in the manga for the Gaia Prom. However, Timmy was later attacked by his dark side, driving him mad and leading him to call himself T-Bone. Singh went undercover for some time to discover a cure for Evil T-Bone, planning on infiltrating Gene's lab after he moved out. After T-Bone and Gene left to start their own jazz show, Dr. Singh began auditions for a new assistant. Her first one was Jeff the Friendly Mammal, a Barney-like man in a sloth suit (who she said was once on the show "Jeff and Friends") Because of Jeff's alcoholic problems, tendency to fall asleep, and failure to realize that they were on air, it is unlikely that he will be used again.

Dr. Singh searched for a new assistant, auditioning Gaian NPC children such as Rina and Peyo (neither of whom passed). Her brother appeared with her for one report (bringing up humiliating childhood memories) and Jack showed up as co-host for the two reports during the Halloween Event. Following this, Purvis attended a few Reports. For the duration of the Christmas event, she had the cow-brained Santa, and then Mrs. Clause near the end of the event. The bearded Timmy appeared for one EI Report, saying he was doing it as a favour while Dr. Singh was on a week vacation. After that she had Edmund on for co-host. His true purpose, it transpired, was to help Dr. Singh get Timmy back to normal. In the third report that he co-hosted, Edmund constructed a device to spin the evil out of Timmy. When activated, Timmy was separated from the pure evil inside of him. When Edmund suggested they kill Evil Timmy, Dr. Singh detested, saying it was barbaric. After which Edmund hinted about an upcoming plot about Evil Timmy, that he will escape his hold in his villa.

After many tribulations, which led to his being forced into an unattractive form of adulthood, Timmy has currently just been released from prison.

[edit] Prom

Dr. Singh was asked to the first Gaia Prom by Lance, the Cash Shop Delivery man. She quickly accepted (much to Timmy's distress, as he had been about to ask her to go with him). In the Evolving Item report following the Prom, Singh seemed to have enjoyed herself, and was unable to understand why Timmy was upset. However, she managed to cheer him up by getting him to say "Jeepers!".

[edit] Other Information

  • Dr. Singh had a misspent youth as a mod, described as "listening to soul music until 4AM, endlessly tuning my scooter, emblazoning every outfit with RAF target logos, swarming upon small resort cities with a few thousand of my best friends and beating gangs of rockers with a bicycle chain." EI report, 08-24-09
  • Dr. Singh has very likely been to jail in the past, describing imprisonment as "part of being an adult" and stating, "we've all done it, and we'll probably all do it again." EI report, 08-17-09
