Groups and organizations are actively canon are listed first, while others are listed below as being mentioned.
- G CORP
The mysterious organization known as Gambino Corporation, was the world's largest manufacturer of biological medicines and advanced technology, first appeared, owned by none other than Johnny K. Gambino in October 2004.
- S CORP
The mysterious organization known as Santa Corporation, was run by Mrs. Claus, and was created to save Xmas and resurrect Santa. It first appeared in November 2005.
- E CORP
The user-created militant plot faction was created to represent and show support for the Holiday character Easter Bunny. It wasn't until April 18, 2011 that the site officially recognized the group as a plot faction and used the name during the Easter 2k11 event. Another group by the same name was formed to represent the elves during 2006.
Stylized as OMNIDRINK™, this corporation appeared on Gaia Online April 1, 2009. During their stay they introduced Gaians to some of their products. Providing innovative industrial solutions in the would of heavy manufacturing and high-volume chemical processing.
- Team Aekea
A Gaian team representing the town of Aekea. It was established in 2007 for the Summer Festival event. In 2008 the team was seen again at the 2008 Gaia Olympics.
- Team Barton
A Gaian team representing the town of Barton Town. It was established in 2007 for the Summer Festival event. In 2008 the team was seen again at the 2008 Gaia Olympics.
- Team Durem
A Gaian team representing the town of Durem. It was established in 2007 for the Summer 2k7: Summer Festival event. In 2008 the team was seen again at the 2008 Gaia Olympics.
- Team Gambino
A Gaian team representing the town of Isle de Gambino. It was established in 2007 for the Summer Festival event. In 2008 the team was seen again at the 2008 Gaia Olympics.
- Fitness Camp
A Gaian team representing their camp's purpose, which is health and fitness. It was established in 2009 for the Summer 2k9: Camp Chaos event.
- Juvie Camp
A Gaian team representing their camp's purpose, which is positive enforcement and rehabilitation. It was established in 2009 for the Summer 2k9: Camp Chaos event.
- Rich Camp
A Gaian team representing their camp's purpose, which is about enjoying luxuries. It was established in 2009 for the Summer 2k9: Camp Chaos event.
- Science Camp
A Gaian team representing their camp's purpose, which is enlightening young scientists. It was established in 2009 for the Summer 2k9: Camp Chaos event.
- Cute Team
A team lead by Diedrich that represents all things cute. The primary creatures involved in the group are fluffs and felines.
- Anti-Cute Team
A team lead by the Easter Bunny that is against cuteness. The primary creatures involved in the group are robotic lapins called Rabbots.

A youth organization for Gaia children, the notable children within the group were previously three Gaia Orphans from the Christmas 2k7 Event. They are Monia, Jay, and Scuppers. They also run a shop called The Treehouse.

- Red Wings
Mentioned within the release of the Monthly Collectible Red Wing, these are Gaia's most elite and secretive warriors. The elite Red Wing guards live like monks and only leave their fortress when duty calls.
- Dref Dur Devils
A gang of thugs first seen with the release of manga #50: The Floating City. They occupy the floating city of Map:Dref Dur and harassed Gino Gambino but were scared off by a deity named Meili. The group seen consisted of an eye patch wearing male named Creepo Marv, a gas-mask female named Halligan and Boss Mikhail a giant white bear.
- Kuro Gang
A mafia of Dark Elves with a reputation, and who run Durem's underground. Lead by Don Kuro Luca, they reside in an ornately decorated base somewhere in the town. Cordell is Luca's right-hand woman, with Faris being the only other known member of the group.
- Werewolf Hunters
A clan of hunters whose purpose is to hunt down werewolves.

Where mentioned with the release of the Chyaku Norisu Scarf; with additional mentions in Chain of Command and the Ancient Katana. The Norisu Ninja Clan is rumored to possess secret, dark arts known as Asu Kikingu.

Known as B.O.O., it is the name for a Group of Followers who chose to side with The Overseer for during the Halloween 2k9: Demonbusters event.

The Institution is a place for people seeking spiritual advise. One of the advisers from the institution is Enlightened Master Rick, who clearly acknowledges the power of crystals and admires the lifestyle of the dolphin.
- The Sacred Order of the Mountain Monks
A group of Monks who have devoted their lives to reaching spiritual contentment and enlightenment. They deny themselves many worldly pleasures.
In order to become a Mountain Monk, one must renounce these material trappings of this modern world and make a commitment to a life of deep contemplation. Then they must also make a pilgrimage to visit The Master, who lives atop the tallest mountain in the land. A known member of the Mountain Monks is Brother Swimp.
- The Universal Fellowship of Nonspecific Worship
This church or fellowship, could easily encompass any and all religions - or none at all as a person would/could choose. They also provide nonspecific guidance and have various nonspecific holy books which are quite clear in matters of helping abominations. One of the known UFNW holy persons is Pastor Gork.
- The Universal Transcendent Spirit Collective
This was a non-traditional religion and place for people who were seeking true Enlightenment. They were believers of a beings called Core People, who were said to live in the hollow center of the planet. And with their emergence from the center, they would take the believers to a paradise in outer space by use of a tremendous golden spaceship.

A union that adult Timmy was assigned to while he was doing EI Reports from the road, essentially seen as work, since he was no longer seen as a young child. Timmy was on vacation at the time of the report and told the viewers that union would be mad at him if they found that he was working too hard that day.
- Final Wish Foundation
A foundation that grants the wishes to the sick and terminally ill children of Gaia. Clearly a parody of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, only titled in a more dark humored way. Dr. Singh called the foundation as a last resort when she couldn't find a legit way to contact the musician Borrissey.
- Ancient Gaian Order of Hair Wizards
Introduced only by text in 2006 and 2007 for two releases of wig based Monthly Collectibles, the Hair Wizards are a group of wizards who specialize in creating wigs based on elements found in nature. After centuries of failure, humiliation and burnt scalps, the Order upon a spell that worked. Using mysterious incantations and very sharp scissors, they harnessed the power of the elements in hairstyle form. Their known creations are the Elemental Hair and Mythic Hair.
