World Map is a Gaia Online feature.
Overview[]
The World Map is located on the World tabs landing page. The map was present when Go-Gaia was created and has since grown to include more locations. The first visible location was Map:Barton Town; it was the main way to navigate the website by feature using highlighted building graphics.
Updates to this feature include arrows around a mapped area to navigate and a drop menu listing prominent locations: Barton Town, Bass'ken Lake, Port of Gambino, Isle de Gambino, Durem Reclamation Hub, Durem, and Aekea. The map has been used in some site events and was one of the ways to gather Toting and Caroling items. However the feature has since become outdated as users can navigate the site via Gaia Menu Bar and Tot and carol using the shop directory. For now, the map is simply there to keep up with the sites lore and be a look into the past and any updates are usually done at user requests.
