The April Fools' Day Event 2010 was a Gaia Online event.

Overview

When signing onto the site Gaians were met with a drop down SWF video image in the right corner titled "THE RISE" He can't do it alone!. Along with that was a "Loading..." text repeating itself. By clicking the the "Get it now!" button, Gaians were lead to a landing page titled SUSHI 404 ERROR and the page displaying "404 ERROR: PAGE NOT FOUND".

The announcements by NPC:admin were updated ever so often to state that the event "has been fixed".

Event conclusion

By going to the link provided in the announcement Gaians could receive an item called 'Pheonix Up'. The description seen in the user inventory was: "Repeated use of this magical feather will result in fascinating materializations."

The item's name and description was later changed when it became the 'Ash Face', a play on 'Soot Face'- as seen with previous April Fools' events.

The community found the events humorous as Gaia poked fun at itself for previous events going awry.

Trivia

• Gaians were given false notifications about the events technical issues.
• There was speculation about the urn seen on NPC:Johnny K. Gambino's profile avatar and the event item given.
• This event is the introduction of NPC:Diedrich, a grunny that escaped from Map:G CORP.
