07 EI Report: Timmy & SOF TaigaEdit
- Topic EI Report: Timmy & SOF Taiga - Posted: [NPC] Dr. Singh Fri Jan 07, 2011 5:13 pm
Happy Friday, Gaians! As always, we've got some exciting news in the world of Evolving Items-- our little friend Timmy is continuing his journey into oblivion, and we're introducing a brand new Rapid EI to the mix! Let's take a look:
This week, Timmy's experimentation with Gro-Gain didn't just affect him-- Labtech Gene also saw the horrible hirsute effects, growing a mustache that would eventually engulf him entirely.
Welcome to SOF Taiga, soldier! As a member of Special Operation Force, you'll need to be in peak physical condition and well trained in secret black ops technology. Your mission will send you deep into the woodlands, behind enemy lines with no help in sight. Are you ready to deploy?
You can pick up these great EIs and many more in the Gaia Cash Shop! And don't forget to stop by our weekly poll to let us know which items you like best. Bye for now, friends!

Look sharp, Gaians! This week's evolutions take us face to face with the marvels-- and perils-- of the untamed forest. Special Operations Force Taiga continues its tactical maneuvers and Antique Shop dusts off a marvel of natural history.
SOF Taiga sends you on a reconnaissance mission to find out the enemy's position. It looks like they're stronger than expected-- you should radio for back-up. Or maybe you can sneak into their armory and steal some more gear to fight your way out...
A visit to DrinkyTengu's corner of the Antique Shop turns up the relics of a scientific expedition's journey into the jungle. You find some snazzy adventure gear and the mission's chief prize: the skeleton of a prehistoric giant sloth, handsomely mounted in this life-like post by the expedition's museum sponsors.
Whatever adventure you're gearing up for, the Cash Shop will set you up in style. And please stop by our weekly EI poll to let us know which evolutions are your favorites!
Thanks for watching, science fans, and have a great weekend!
21 EI Report: Forteanagoria, SOF Taiga & ZodiacalEdit

Welcome to the Evolving Item Report, friends! We've got some significant developments in the field of evolutionary science this week: we'll take another look at our brand-new astrological EI, witness the conclusion of a sci-fi favorite and check the progress of our latest Rapid EI. Let's jump in:
Forteanagoria reaches its thrilling paranormal climax with a visit from some otherworldly friends! Grand finale poses include a classic green-grey alien skin, a space-ready jumpsuit and a bug-eyed being from beyond to accompany your avatar.
Our newest Rapid EI, SOF Taiga, returns with more military maneuvers. This week, HQ has assigned you a rather eccentric new partner-- uncertain about her skills, you figure you'd better equip yourself with a new tactical vest, just in case.
New! As the Cash Shop twins announced earlier in the week, we've got a new Evolving Item hitting the scene. Zodiacal will update each month with items inspired by the cosmic wonder of the zodiac. It begins with a nod to the idealistic Aquarius.
You can grab these EIs now in the Gaia Cash Shop! Also, remember to stop by our weekly poll to let us know which items you like best. Until next time, friends!

Hey there, ladies and gentlemen-- hope you've all got your science helmets on, because it's time for another exciting crop of Evolving Item news! We've got a brand new Rapid EI starting up this week, plus new updates to SOF Taiga and the glorious Antique Shop. Take a look at these fantastic new styles:
New! Get ready for a nostalgic joyride through a simpler time with Dream Town, a Rapid EI that takes you back to the golden age of jukebox hits and neon drive-ins. While cleaning out an old diner, you find a dusty old reel of film that gives you a glimpse at the town in its heyday...
The Antique Shop finds itself in the capable hands of artist milkbun for this fancy evolution. It brings us a set of gentleman's clothes based on Art Nouveau sensibilities-- all this finery might inspire a bit of vanity, though, so it also comes with an ornate mirror.
Your team's operation goes a bit haywire in this week's SOF Taiga evolution-- you find yourself pretty badly injured, but HQ sends a medic to tend to your wounds and get you back in fighting shape.
Quite an impressive suite of updates, eh? If you're feeling tempted to grab one of these items for yourself, you can always head to the Gaia Cash Shop to try them on. And don't forget to stop by our weekly poll, where you can let us know which items you like best. See you next week, friends!

Huhhf? Whuss? Oh! *brufph* ...SHOWTIME! Welcome to Jeff & Pals, kids! I'm Jeff the Friendly Mammal, and boy oh boy are we-- oh, right. Sorry. Yeah, so your regular host called in sick today and the producers asked me to fill in, since I was already in the studio, sleeping off a little bender in the broom closet... don't really have any place to go, soooo... Oh, right, so welcome to the Evolving Item thing. We got a bunch of great stuff, and even the big finale for SOF Taiga. Look at it:
A night out was always keen in Dream Town, whether you were rocking your roller skates at the diner or hanging around the parking lot with your pals. This week's evolution features a varsity jacket that shows you're a big deal on campus, plus a pair of rough classic jeans and boots.
This week marks the stunning conclusion of SOF Taiga! It's the last night of your mission, and your team is overwhelmed by enemies-- until your eccentric partner whips a Gatling gun out of nowhere and mows them down. Barely escaping with your lives, you report back to base for a well-deserved promotion. Good work, captain! Mission accomplished!
You can get all these real neat things at the Cash Shop, so you should definitely check that out or whatever. Great stuff. Oh! And there's a poll, so you can vote about which stuff is the best. That's all, kids! Jeff the Friendly Mammal, signing off!
Hey, camera guy? Yeah, you. Uh, can you guys cut out the part at the beginning where I was sort of waking up and horking in my mask a little? What? No? We're live? Right now? OK, never mind. Just edit that last part out.
So, uh, hey, camera guy-- yeah, I know that maybe didn't go super smoothly or whatever, but what are the chances of this being more of a permanent gig? Like, maybe I'm sort of the go-to guy to substitute the show when Dr. Sink is sick or on vacation or whatever? I'm kinda between gigs right now, soooo...
No? Maybe? Let's call it a maybe.

Friday already? My, how the weeks fly by when you're knee-deep in cutting-edge evolving item science! Welcome to your weekly EI Report. I've got some tremendous updates today, so let's jump in and have a look, shall we?
The Antique Shop has produced another treasure: among the dusty aisles, you come across an ancient sword from a long-forgotten Gaian civilization. Better take it outside before you swing it around-- there's a lot of breakable stuff in here.
Valentine's Day brought blossoming love to Dream Town. The girls adorned their ponytails with accessories and put on their best poodle dresses, while the boys got their smoothest rides out for a night out at the movies. As they watch the movie, they slowly feel themselves getting sucked in...
You can grab these EIs and many more cool items in the Gaia Cash Shop! I'll see you next week, ladies and gents-- before you go, please stop by our weekly EI poll and vote for your favorite item. Bye bye!

Hello again, Gaians! I hope your week has been delightful, despite that mysterious plague that afflicted us yesterday-- I managed to avoid it, thank goodness. Now that you're all well-rested and your fevers have subsided, let's take a look at some evolving items! This week's EI Report brings you a new update to Zodiacal, plus the finale of Dream Town:
This month, Zodiacal brings us the sign of Pisces. Withdrawn and reserved, Pisces retreats into a dream world where she can be herself. Not completely in touch with reality, she can come off kind of odd and spacey to others, but is nevertheless very compassionate and often intensely artistic.
In Dream Town's grand finale, our heroes are thrown into the silver screen. The male lead takes on the part of a cool greaser complete with an impressive wig, then dons a hat and duster for a Western role. Meanwhile, his date is soon immersed in a ritzy world of diamonds and fine dresses. As the film reel comes to a stop, you rub your eyes and wonder what you just saw... was it all a dream?
You can pick up these EIs and many more great items in the Gaia Cash Shop. Before you go, why not stop by our weekly poll and let us know what you think? Thanks, and have a fantastic weekend!

You know what time it is, ladies and gents: science time! I'm Dr. Singh, Gaia's leading evolutionary biologist, and this is your weekly Evolving Item Report, where you'll learn all the latest news about your favorite items. We've got two of them evolving this week; let's take a peek:
Another big break in the Case of Pietro! With the boxing hall still consumed by riots, the Thief and the Detective pursue the case into the lair of the nefarious Mob Queen. With her plot to swipe the case exposed at last, she doesn't intend to let them out alive!
Digging deeper into the Antique Shop, you find a rusting clock lantern that still works despite its age. As the gears begin to turn, you're hypnotized by its gentle ticks and tocks, and you see visions of the lantern's past carriers. This week's evolution comes courtesy of artist Fayren Pickpocket.
You can grab these items for yourself in the Gaia Cash Shop! Before you head out for your weekend of mischief and debauchery, be sure to take a second to vote in our EI poll and let us know which items you like the best. Have fun, everybody!

This month, Zodiacal celebrates the independent-minded Aries, whose impatience can come off as aggressive to those who don't dig deeper. Aries balances this headstrong nature with plenty of ambition and an adventurous spirit.
An update to Gaia's newest Rapid EI! Invaders had better beware, because the Galactic Soldier has been issued a deadly new firearm this week, and it's time for some sci-fi carnage.

The Galactic Soldier has defeated a fanged space beast with some well placed strokes from his gruesome toothed axe. The people of the outer systems will sleep easier tonight knowing this menace is dead.
The Owlpocalypse strikes again! In the midst of the rainy season, all you need is the Owlpocalypse to stay cozy and dry. It might be the end of days, but at least our final hours will be filled with adorable, friendly owls.

Welcome to the Evolving Item Report, ladies and gentlemen! Things are a tiny bit different this week, since MeowBook's EI creation process has changed a little bit, but we've still got some excellent EI science to drop on you this week. There are two great Rapid EIs getting updates this week, including one stellar finale:
Our newest Rapid EI has hit a bit of a snag, as MeowBook's recent acquisition by Meowbook has resulted in some staff changes. While Vivacenote's original artist has been replaced by a cat, its evolution continues: this week, not knowing what to do with his lonely life, our weary traveler takes to the streets to sing somber ballads to neighborhood cats. The bond between our hero and his new feline friends grows so strong that he decides to devote his life to caring for them.
Thankfully, the final evolution of the Galactic Soldier was completed before the Meowbook takeover. With explosions all around, our triumphant soldier stands in badass battle armor before a backdrop of pure annihilation. Having defeated the alien hordes, our hero triumphantly waves a flag. Before she departed, the item's artist even left us with this awesome illustration:

One final note: due to Gaia's recent takeover by Meowbook, our artists have been let go to make room for our new all-cat art team. Have no fear: they'll work hard to continue updating your evolving items. They're already getting a hang of it-- check out this exclusive preview of some upcoming EI poses:
08 EI Report: Vivacenote & The Case of PietroEdit

Welcome to Evil Timmy's Evolving Item Report and Smooth Jazz Countdown! That stone-cold fox Dr. Singh is on vacation this week, so me and my boy Mean Gene the Hair Machine will be on the scene and living the dream. We're here, we're evil, we're a little tipsy on boxed cognac and we're ready to lay down some solid smooth jazz Evolving Item grooves-- wait, where's Gene? He must have got caught in the shower drain again. Anywhom, dig:
Our latest Rapid EI, Vivacenote is continuing its journey. This week, the lonely traveler continues to roam the streets singing his somber songs. A woman approaches him and offers him a flower to cheer him up.
Another wild plot twist in the Case of Pietro! The Detective and the Thief are at the Queen's mercy, but before she can off the unlikely duo, the Barista returns in a shocking twist... for revenge! At last, the Detective recovers Pietro's case, but is the Case really solved? Though it may seem like everything is wrapped up, there will surely be more surprises in store...
That's all for today, babies-- before you split, make sure to drop by this weekly EI poll to lay down some knowledge on us. Swing by the Cash Shop to grab some of this hot stuff for yourself or a fine lady of your acquaintance:
And now, what you've all been waiting for: this week's top five smoothest jams from the butter-smooth realm of the smoothest jazz. Let me hit you with it, girl:
- 5. Pierre XVII - Jazz Candle: This is one candle you'll want to burn at both ends, if you catch my drift. You dig what I'm saying? Verily, you sly kitten, are you picking up what it is that Evil Timmy is laying down? Have you yet apprehended my meaning?
- 4. The Titi Muscatachiollaire Orchestra - Bass Massage: If you thought a sixteen-man band couldn't possibly create a nine-minute cacophony of sexy slap bass jazz-funk fusion and still manage to be smooth as a pretty lady's tear-filled eyeball, you were the wrongest cat in the jazzosphere.
- 3. Royce Breeze - Dolphin Serenity Suite: I haven't heard a vibraphone jam this serene in months. Only my man Royce Breeze has the smoothness to calm down a hot-blooded love champion like me after an all-night bass massage.
- 2. Raoul Champagne - Lavender Oils on Ya Butt: Please, male viewers, I want you to hit mute on that remote for the duration of this jam, because this one is strictly for the ladies. Girl, I don't think you need me to explain this one, and I can't anyway because I'm only an evil child, girl, and I am unacquainted with the ways of sensuality. But I know what you like, and it is this song. Yeah, girl.
- 1. Buddy Helch - Samba de Sensualidad: Could newcomer Buddy Helch be the rightful heir to the smooth jazz throne left vacant by the passing of the late Cassius LaFontine, undisputed master of the slow smooth sax jam? Only time will tell, babies. But let's put our high expectations aside and let Buddy's reedy meanderings soothe our aching earholes.

Oh, there you are! Normally I'd wait until Friday and announce this with the rest of the Evolving Item Report, but this one is different. I just received word from one of my EI Researchers that a strange, hooded feature just left a mysterious scroll addressed to you, then vanished into the night-- it seems to be a new Rapid EI, but we'll leave it up to you to investigate.
The Mineiro Scroll may lead to great rewards or unknown perils-- if you're feeling intrepid enough to find out which, head over to the Gaia Cash Shop and pick it up. Best of luck!
15 EI Report: Vivacenote, Mineiro Scroll & TimmyEdit
- Topic EI Report: Vivacenote, Mineiro Scroll & Timmy - Posted: [NPC] Dr. Singh Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:04 pm
Welcome to the EI Report, friends! With April's MCs hitting this morning, it's already a fabulous day for items, but we're piling on the stupendousness with three evolutions from some excellent Evolving Items. Let's take a look:
Today marks the first evolution of our newest Rapid EI, the Mineiro Scroll! Curious about the scroll's cryptic message, you decide to search for the location mentioned in it, which seems to be somewhere deep underground. But first, you prepare for the journey by gathering supplies and equipment, including a pack to carry all your gear.
A romantic development for Vivacenote: the flower girl requests a duet with our travelling hero, and a magical spark grows between them as they perform together. Has the wanderer found his true purpose in life?
The horrifying saga of TImmy's distress continues with another dark chapter in his life. After Timmy's encounter with pure evil, he was left babbling and disoriented. That's when I called in the prominent psychoanalyst, Dr. Schadenkind, who helped us get to the bottom of Timmy's madness with a distinguished beard and a reputable fake accent.
That's all for this week, ladies and gentlemen! You can grab all these great EIs in the Gaia Cash Shop. Before you head out, make sure to vote in our weekly EI poll to let us know which items you like the best. Bye!
P.S. - By the way, Evil Timmy keeps leaving me voicemails insisting I read you the Smooth Jazz Countdown, because he says that's what everyone really cares about. I respectfully disagree with him, but just to get him off my back I'll inform you that the #1 spot this week is held by Royce Breeze, with his hit track "Woodwind Wilderness."

Friday's here again, EI fans! Time to take a look at all the exciting developments in the field of Evolving Item science. We've got some great new stuff to report, including an extraordinary Rapid EI finale! Let's check it out:
Zodiacal celebrates the sign of Taurus this month. Taurus is calm and patient, but if you manage to anger her, watch out for her temper! The term "bull-headed" is quite appropriate, as the Taurus can be extremely determined and stubborn.
The mysterious Mineiro Scroll will be leading you on a long and perilous journey, so you'd better prepare. This week, you pick up a few vital items: a shoulder guard and utility belt to protect you from danger, plus some comfortable boots for the long trek ahead.
Vivacenote has reached its finale this week! The spectators watch in awe as the wandering traveler plays his song and the dancer moves gracefully to the notes. Our hero asks the dancer to join him as he tours the world, but she politely refuses-- as she vanishes into the crowd, the asks the traveler to remember her always and sing a happier tune.
That's all for this week! Before you go, remember to stop by our weekly EI poll and let us know which items you like best. If you want to check out these EIs or pick one up for yourself or a friend, just stop by the Cash Shop. Bye, friends!

New Rapid EI! Little Lucie is a beautiful porcelain doll, but there's something unsettling about her eyes. To start, the odd little doll gives you a duplicate of her antique cameo locket.
This week, the real journey begins in Mineiro Scroll. Armed with a weapon, you set off to explore the abandoned mine that you believe is your destination. However, signs of life in the tunnels suggest that something was-- or still is-- inside...

Hi there, ladies and gentlemen! Hope everyone's ready for a beautiful weekend. Before you head out into the sun, let's take a look at this week in cutting-edge scientific happenings. We've got updates to two excellent Rapid EIs, including a finale! Observe:
It's the grand finale of the Mineiro Scroll! After barely making it through the ancient traps set deep within the mine, you finally make it to the treasure room, where old columns from days past are draped with gold and jewels. You make off with as much loot as you can carry and grab some shiny new gear, then set off for your next adventure.
This week, we have a pretty tea party with Little Lucie. Tuesday's evolution gave us a pair of dainty gloves and a tea party set, complete with snack tray and a suspiciously red blend of tea... Friday's update presents us with a lacy silk pinafore and bloomers designed for worry-free prancing.
I'm sure you're itching to head over to the Cash Shop and grab an EI or two-- they make excellent Mother's Day presents (for yourself)! Also, feel free to stop by our weekly EI poll and let us know which items you like best this week. Ciao, EI fans!

It's EI time once again, friends! I'm your spectacularly qualified host, Dr. Singh, back once more with all the latest scientific information on your favorite items. We've got two of 'em making some changes this week, including a visit from my old sidekick, Timmy, who was transformed into an Evolving Item by divine intervention. Let's have a look, shall we?
Little Lucie's girlish owner came of age this week with a charming birthday party, complete with a cute party frock and lots of expensive gifts. Lucie didn't seem too happy with the new kittens, though... Today, the little girl evolves into a coquettish young lady and trades in her dollies for powdered pink curls and a cameo blush compact.
The brutal ordeal of Timmy continues through his dark flirtation with the psychedelic hair powers of Gro-Gain: this week, we see the grim, beardy consequences it wrought upon his friend, Labtech Gene, who grew a thicket of facial hair so intense that it threatened to consume him.
That's all for this week! Don't forget to stop by our weekly poll to let us know which items you like best. If you'd like to grab one of these items for yourself, you can visit the Gaia Cash shop. See you next week, everyone!

Prepare yourself for the arrival of another big dose of science! This week we've got some amazing new evolutions in Zodiacal, Little Lucie and The Watchmaker that will delight those who would pry into the hallowed secrets of Nature.
The stars rotate in Zodiacal into the house of Gemini. These twins are complex and contradictory by nature. Their duality, however, spawns versatility, making Gemini very adaptable and lively-- but they can also bore quickly. They have a keen intelligence and wit, making them confident and sometimes irresistibly charming.
New! Late at night in a messy basement workshop, a young but very talented engineer known as The Watchmaker sits down to create a magnificent watch. Dressed in the garb of his profession, he grabs his tools and begins...
Little Lucie's owner has been afflicted by a host of mysterious injuries and an empty, listless gaze has replaced her usually sunny disposition. But this is no ordinary teenage malaise! Lucie has finally found a way for she and her beloved owner to be together... forever... Little Lucie's finale transforms you with the lacy garments, long silken hair, and lifeless limbs of a doll.

Bleary-eyed from working through the night, The Watchmaker is finally finished with his latest creation. A delicate, golden pocketwatch: truly is his greatest work! Just as he's about to head out for some much-needed rest, he hears a loud clicking-- it's the familiar sound of gears turning, and it's coming from the watch! Hello again, old pals! Time for another dose of science from Gaia's preeminent evolving item expert (me, obviously). We've got some great stuff this week: an unexpected surprise from a long-running item, plus another reminder of my shameful failures as Timmy's caretaker. Let's have a look:
A fittingly postmodern conclusion for Catastrophe, the slow-burning EI that's been delighting and confusing us for so long: after becoming self-aware, the cat discovers Photoshop, and then how to bend reality and create a paradox.
A relatively placid moment in the tumultuous saga of Timmy. Remember when the poor lad was experiencing megapuberty? His rampaging hormones caused many horrifying side-effects, the most horrifying of which was a fascination with Borrissey, an effete, moping pop musician. This week, you can wear your own authentic Borrissey t-shirt!
That's all for now, friends! Remember to stop by our weekly EI poll and let us know which items you like best. You can grab these great items now in the Gaia Cash Shop, so stop by and have a look!

Exciting news for those who love evolving items: one of the true classics of the form is back for another visit. Fausto's Bottle was Gaia's very first EI, and it's still remembered as one of the finest. Now, we're giving a second chance to those who missed it the first time...
Most who uncork Fausto's Bottle: Dreams and Nightmares will be granted a fully-evolved 11th-generation Fausto's Bottle. However, a select few will find something else: the rare Faustine's Bottle or the new Faust's Bottle, an exclusive, super-rare variant only available in Dreams and Nightmares.
Don't pass up this rare chance to revisit a classic item-- you can find Fausto's Bottle: Dreams and Nightmares in the Gaia Cash Shop for a limited time.

Zodiacal has now entered the sign of Cancer; it's a complex sign, filled with contradictions. Like the sign's crab symbol, Cancers may put up a defensive shell. She can seem very calm and cold, but may inwardly be very emotional and a bit of a romantic. Loyal and compassionate, Cancer will protect and cherish her friendships with her life.

Gather 'round, friends in science! Another week's evolutions have reared their marvelous heads. Let's have a look at what we're dealing with:
Timmy's fanboy love of Borrissey has gone from cute to creepy. Not content to have Borrissey's dejected face on his shirt, Timmy has molded his own mug to resemble the singer. With hours of practice he's even mastered the crooner's sulky-smug expression.
In Mystery of the Stolen Sapphires The Countess thinks she's found some clues in her bedroom. She has no idea what they mean but she's determined to find out. But wait-- what's that noise? It sounds like the chauffeur is tinkering around in the garage. Dressing in haste, the Countess goes to confront him.
That's all for this week! Stay tuned as Gaia's Evolving Items continue to transform in wild and wondrous ways-- and if you have a moment, stop by our weekly EI Poll to tell us which evolutions you like best. Have a great weekend!

Listen up, science lovers! We've got an update to our latest Rapid EI, and the plot just keeps thickening and thickening! In science, we call it "plot congealment." Here's what happened this week:
The Mystery of the Stolen Sapphires continues! The Countess finds her chauffeur in the garage and promptly questions him on his whereabouts last night, and if he'd been inside the main house. The chauffeur responds that he had been asleep in his bed all night, and that he woke up early in the morning to test drive the new car, but came back quickly because he was missing a glove and it made his steering uneven. Besides, he has no access to the house, as he resides above the garage. The Countess gives a suspicious glare but decides to question the other members of her staff before coming to any conclusions.

Ready for some science, evolving item lovers? We've got one update this week, as our latest Rapid EI continues to pile on the intrigue:
No major breaks in the Mystery of the Stolen Sapphires, though the plot continues to thicken. The Countess finds her cook in the kitchen, covered in flour. The cook claims to have woken up early to bake bread, and had not heard or seen anything all night. Exiting to the foyer, the Countess nearly collides with her butler on his way down from the grand staircase; he too had been up early this morning, inspecting the west wing rooms which were tragically covered in a 3-inch layer of dust! Everyone seems suspiciously busy, but there's still one staff member to interview before jumping to any conclusions.

- Topic EI Report: Zodiacal, Sapphires & Le Carousel - Posted: [NPC] Dr. Singh Fri Jul 22, 2011 5:01 pm
Hello again, followers of science! We've got a jam-packed EI Report this week, with a great evolution from Le Carousel, a new sign from Zodiacal and a spectacular finale to wrap up the Mystery of the Stolen Sapphires. Check out this loaded lineup:
This month, Zodiacal arrives at the courageous Leo. Ambitious and dominant, Leo is a born leader and incredibly independent. Leo can be very generous and warmhearted, but be careful, because he can just as easily be a dogmatic and pompous ruler.
Le Carousel gets off to a glorious start this week, bringing a host of elegant antiques. Among them is a particularly stunning bustle skirt, which inspires you to dance.
A dramatic end to the Mystery of the Stolen Sapphires! After interrogating her maid, the Countess reaches a conclusion. She rushes to the servant's quarters, and finds all her staff talking in low voices around a small table that holds a pile of her jewelry! Her suspicions confirmed, she rushes back to call the police. It turns out the chauffeur and cook were having a secret affair, for it was she who let him into the mansion early in the morning to steal the jewels. Unbeknownst to the couple, the maid, a recovering kleptomaniac, snuck into the Countess's room a few minutes later and couldn't help herself when she saw the sapphires. Soon after, the butler slipped into the room via the hidden passage to steal the last of the jewels... after all doesn't he deserve a raise? The thieves met later that day; amused that they had all committed the crime on the same morning, they decided to evenly divide the jewels and make a run for it. The Countess, who had always been meek and shy, was so proud of herself for her quick actions that she decided her mourning period was over and saw her staff led out in handcuffs from the mansion in her finest dress... and of course all the stolen jewels.
Whew! A pretty detailed conclusion on that one-- I'd like to say I already guessed it, but actually I just skipped ahead and read the last page. That's it for this week, friends; stop by the Cash Shop to grab one of these items for yourself. Be sure to check in with our weekly poll, where you can vote on your favorite items. Bye, ladies and gentlemen!

Ready for a quick science update, EI fans? We've got a fantastic update to Zodiacal, the long-running EI that tackles the mysteries of astrology, and a new Rapid EI, Master Alchemist. Let's see how the mysteries of the universe are affecting us this week:
Zodiacal moves to the sign of the proper, practical and perfectionist Virgo. Creative and delicate, Virgos are reserved and shy, often withdrawing and suppressing their true feelings. Despite their lack of outward feeling, Virgo hides an astonishing intelligence and ingenuity, and they can be meticulous to a fault.
Every Master Alchemist begins as a lowly apprentice. This week, an aspiring student finds a scroll containing arcane recipes. The first experiments succeed, but the road to being a Master Alchemist is never easy; who knows what the future holds for this occult acolyte!
You can grab Zodiacal, Master Alchemist and many great items in the Gaia Cash Shop. Go browse around-- I'm sure those friendly celestial beings will be glad to see you. And be sure to vote in our weekly EI poll and let us know which items you like best. Have a great weekend!

Snap out of your Friday stupor, appreciators of science! Not only do we have a great update to last week's new Rapid EI, we've got an entirely new one! Let's lean in for a peek:
Our Master Alchemist opens the scroll to see what sort of recipe he's found-- wow, it's a tough one! He should probably start with something easier, but... nah. Time to get his exploring gear on, because he'll need a few components before he can even attempt this high-level recipe.
New! When you first find Sainte Ciel, you'll be given a choice of two versions of this Rapid EI: Sainte Ciel: Agape and Sainte Ciel: Eros. Ciel is a beautiful young sister who spends her days ensconced in a convent, quietly praying. She is gentle and kind, but her past is shrouded in mystery. When news of Princess Rosamund's kidnapping reaches the convent, Ciel spends many sleepless nights praying for the princess' safety, lighting candles in the empty sanctuary... what could inspire such unrelenting devotion?
Do I detect hints of forbidden convent love? Picante! To pick up one of these items for yourself, just head over to the Gaia Cash Shop. And while you've still got EIs on the brain, stop by our weekly EI poll to let us know which ones you like the best. Bye bye, friends!

Time to catch up on all the latest EI science, friends! We've got two items evolving today, though it's really more like three, since Sainte Ciel branched off into two different paths. Let's check it out:
Having successfully gathered all the necessary ingredients, our Master Alchemist returned to complete the difficult formula. Time to put on some appropriate alchemy garb and get started...
This week in the Sainte Ciel: Agape path, Sister Ciel received a letter from Rosamund's father, the king, asking Ciel to once again take up her sword and rescue the princess from the clutches of the evil and mysterious Mephiste. Could it be that Ciel has a secret past as a warrior? Along with the Paladin's Crest, Ciel arms herself with a shining silver sword, and with it, cuts off her flowing hair as a sign of selfless devotion.
Meanwhile, Sainte Ciel: Eros receives a cryptic message from the stolen princess-- her own rose signet ring and a lock of her hair. Such an intimate parcel can only mean that Rosamund wishes for Ciel alone to rescue her. Ciel braids the scarlet curls into her own, that token of Rosamund's affection filling her with determination and ardor. She will take up her ebony blade and rescue the princess from her captor, no matter what the cost may be.
That's all for this week! If this report has piqued your interest, you can head to the Cash Shop to grab one of these ever-changing wonders for yourself. And if you've already got 'em, you can drop by our weekly EI poll to let us know which items you like best. Have a great weekend!

It’s that time again, my beloved science geeks. Much progress has been made with these evolving items since we last checked on them-- in fact, one of our items is reaching its thrilling finale this week! Let’s take a look-see:
The Master Alchemist has reached his final stage! Amazingly, he was able to craft the formula he found successfully! Well, he had imagined the wings would be bigger, but he can't be too disappointed for his first time. The crafting has transformed him and he feels strangely more powerful. An alchemical mark has appeared above one eye and the tips of his hair have changed color. He feels very hopeful for the future....
This week we saw Sainte Ciel set out on her noble journey, donning the shimmering armor of her true profession-- a magnificent hero! An armored skirt compliments shining heeled boots. And, depending on Ciel's path, she further outfits herself in puffed armored sleeves or the crest of a warrior. But the breastplate doesn't offer much... protection? No matter! The power of love is all Ciel needs to rescue her sweet princess.
Looks like that’s all the data for this week’s report! If you want to get some hands-on experience with these captivating treasures, you can find them at the Cash Shop. And if these EIs are already in your hands, you can vote for which items you like best at our weekly EI poll. See you next week, friends!

16 EI Report: Sainte Ciel, Custom Cut, The Case of PietroEdit
- Topic EI Report: Sainte Ciel, Custom Cut, The Case of Pietro - Posted: [NPC] Dr. Singh Fri Sep 16, 2011 6:33 pm
Happy Friday, my scientists in training! This report is filled with mystery, suspense and a shocking conclusion for one of the items. Brace yourself for a surprising twist:
Sainte Ciel: Agape: At long last, Ciel stormed into Mephiste's enigmatic black lair, the light of love guiding her through the darkness... but Mephiste had no intention of letting the little princess escape alive. As a cursed rose shot out of the shadows, Ciel pushed Rosamund away, allowing her own heart to be pierced. Holy light filled the chamber and Mephiste fled from its purity. The princess was finally safe-- but at a great price. Weeping, Rosamund gave one last kiss to Ciel's lips, softly smiling, but already cold. "Your sacrifice shall not be in vain," the princess vowed, and with Ciel's holy blade, cut off her long curls. "I will fight the darkness in your memory, my Sainte Ciel."
Sainte Ciel: Eros: With the thrill of victory burning in her bosom, Ciel raced to her beloved princess's aid. But what was this? The princess was alone and unharmed. In fact, she seemed to have made herself at home in Mephiste's keep... "My sweet Ciel," she cooed, "You have done so well. Now, with your sword and my magic, we will at last rule this land..." As Rosamund wrapped her arms around her, Ciel sensed for a moment the dark spirit lurking behind the princess's eyes, but a sinister spell quickly enveloped her senses in a sweet haze...Ciel smiled. "Yes, my princess and I...Together...Forever..."
Uh oh, both sad endings! But at least they wore fabulous clothes...
For their first challenge on Custom Cut, the contestants are told they have to reinvent the classic sweater. Luka finds this challenge very fitting because when he was a young boy, the first piece of clothing he ever designed was a sweater. His precious design is now full of holes and held together by duct tape, but he still finds it very inspirational.
And finally, The Case of Pietro is soon coming to a close: At the end of the day, the detective arrests the only guy left alive-- the thief, who claims ignorance of the whole plot. After a lengthy interrogation, an astounding discovery is made: Pietro's body has vanished, and all evidence of the murder has gone missing... including the Case and its mysterious contents. With no evidence left of a crime, the detective is reluctantly forced to close the case-- however, there appears to be a little more of the story left to tell...
Wow, quite an eventful report if I do say so myself. I hope your hunger for facts and knowledge has been satisfied, because I need a little nap! Head over to the Cash Shop so you can experience these fascinating specimens for yourself and vote for which ones you like best at our weekly EI poll. Until next time, my avid readers!

Hello again, my dedicated colleagues! My research on these ever-changing items has resulted in some very interesting findings. We’ve got an update on Zodiacal and this week’s episode of Custom Cut:
Zodiacal shifts to the sign of the diplomatic Libra. Sensitive and idealistic, Libra strives for balance in all aspects of life. Like their wearer, their armor embodies civilized justice and equilibrium. Diamond plate encrusted in delicate white gold is balanced with trailing deep blue silk and winged details.
Luka has made it through the first round on Custom Cut with his handmade asymmetrical sweater. The next challenge will have the contestants updating yet another classic piece into a sexier and edgier show-stopper. But first it's time to pick out fabrics at the famous Attitude fabric shop! Luka grabs his lucky hat and begins round 2...
I can’t wait to see what progress will be made next week! But in the meantime, head over to the Cash Shop to get your own EIs and visit the weekly EI poll to vote for your favorites! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Last time on Custom Cut, Luka made it past the second challenge with his skirt design. For the final round, each contestant must sew an outfit for both men and women to go down the runway. The model's styling will play a big part in choosing the final winner, so Luka confers with the hair stylist on the look he's going for.
The Prince of the Sea has set sail on a voyage to find his father, who was recently lost at sea. The only clue is a pendant, left behind by his father shortly before his disappearance...

The most critical moment of Custom Cut is upon us with its finale episode. Time to select the winner! Luka holds his breath as they announce... SOMEONE ELSE'S NAME? Looks like they chose the other contestant simply because their clothes are going to be easier to produce to the masses. Oh well, 2nd place isn't bad-- it’s a great opportunity for a spin-off show. As Luka starts to walk out of the studio, he turns around and declares, "This won't be the last you'll see of Luka LaGrand. I didn't come here to make friends!”

My team at the EI Research Facilities have come across an eerie find: a bloody letter with a cryptic message alluding to a REI known as Ravenwood Manor.
Mathilde had been found as a young girl, wandering the streets alone with no memories besides her name. Given the traumatic state she was found in, everyone assumed her parents had died a tragic death. She then spent the next 10 years living a dull, solemn life in the orphanage. But today, her life will change forever as she awakens and finds an ominous letter under her door:
The letter from this mysterious Mister Jackdaw frightens her but she decides to seek out this Ravenwood Manor. Perched upon a small hill, far from civilization, Ravenwood Manor looms darkly. The house lies in shambles: windows are shuttered, the paint has long ago faded and the front yard doubles as the family graveyard. Every fiber in Mathilde's being tells her to run away and never come back-- yet she is inexplicably drawn to this house. Something seems strangely familiar and if it holds the key to her past she must enter the manor to find out.
Whoa, this is really creepy! Do you have what it takes to solve this mystery? Pick up this item at the Cash Shop to find out!

Greetings, my lovers of empirical evidence! I’ve received some tantalizing data on these fascinating items and I’d love to share it with you!
The Prince of the Sea is quite surprised when a creature seems to be growing out of the pendant. Will it guide the prince to his father?
Mathilde reluctantly enters the foyer of Ravenwood Manor and is overwhelmed by a rotting smell. She then spots an elaborately framed family portrait to her left. The figure seems very familiar to her but it's hard to make out the details with layers of grime coating the painting. As she turns around she swears that the portrait's eyes move. Frightened, she dashes into the first room on her right which appears to be a gentleman's study...
Color me intrigued...I can’t wait to see what happens next! If you like what you see, snatch these babies up at the Cash Shop and vote for your faves at the weekly EI poll.

Reach for those test tubes, my fellow researchers-- it’s time for a dose of scientific goodness! The development of these evolving items is a captivating sight to behold...I simply must fill you in on the details:
Zodiacal evolves to the sign of the magnetic and dangerous Scorpio. Intense, profound and exciting, Scorpios may have the appearance of self-control, but underneath it all they hide immense and potentially volatile emotions that can erupt at any moment. Their harnessed aggression and passion make Scorpios very alluring, but watch out-- they can harbor a jealous side.
In the parlor of Ravenwood Manor, Mathilde feels as if someone-- or something-- is watching her and rushes out of the room. She hears a voice whispering her name and follows it up the manor's grand staircase. As the lone light in the hallway flickers on and off, she sees a gruesome pile of old medical instruments, stained and rusted with blood. The whispering is coming from a room at the end of the hallway, but a door to her left catches her attention. Somehow it seems oddly familiar...
Oh the suspense is killing me-- what will happen next?! I guess we’ll have to wait until next week, but in the meantime you can pick up these specimens at the Cash Shop and vote for your favorites at the weekly EI poll. Have a fantastic weekend!

Happy Friday, my fellow observers of the natural world! This week’s report is quite the page turner as one of our evolving items reaches its chilling finale:
A year has passed since the Prince of the Sea tried to find his father and failed. The creature that hatched from the pendant has grown a little bigger and seems to sense something in the sea. Resuming their journey, the Prince sets off to the sea once again, with hopefully a clearer sense of their destination.
Deep in the heart of Ravenwood Manor, Mathilde finds herself in a ballroom and standing across from her with an evil grin is Mr. Jackdaw. In a flash, all her memories come flooding back to her; a happy childhood with loving parents at Ravenwood-- until the handsome and charming Mr. Jackdaw shows up. He gains her parent’s trust and then with no warning-- murders them with his pet ravens while Mathilde watches, causing her to lose her memories.
Mathilde is overwhelmed with the rush of emotions and memories after 10 years of emptiness. Suddenly, with a snap of Jackdaw’s fingers, a raven darts toward her and pecks the soul from her body. However, Mathilde does not die-- because Jackdaw is actually in love with her-- and she's trapped as Ravenwood Manor’s mistress...forever.
"Welcome home Mathilde", he says. "By the way... all my friends call me Mephiste".
Jeez, I think I’ll be sleeping with the lights on tonight! If you like what you see, grab these items up at the Cash Shop and vote for your top picks at the weekly EI poll. Have a Happy Halloween!

Hello, EI fans! The anticipation is steadily building around our latest evolving items, so I'll cut right to the chase and drop some scientific knowledge on your eager brains:
With still no lead on his father's whereabouts, the Prince of the Sea is losing hope. The crewmen are also growing weary of this expedition after another year has passed. However, the growing little creature looks out at the sea, believing a familiar presence is out there. The crew must remain strong, as their adventure has only just begun.
This week on the Runcible Spoon, Owl and Pussycat hopped on their antique bicycle and pedaled out to the shore for a mini-break, where they picnicked on mince pie and stewed quince jam. Pussycat wore her best leather booties and warm lace leggings, while Owl wore tall riding boots to protect his linen trousers-- should he find himself down on one knee, that is...
Oh boy, I'd better get some popcorn-- my calculations tell me this is going to be good! These items catch your interest? Pick them up at the Cash Shop and vote for your favorites in the weekly EI poll.

Put on your safety goggles-- it’s time for a flash of science that will blow your mind! We have a double dose of Evolving Items for you this week:
The Prince of the Sea and his crew fought a long battle with mysterious ships that appeared as they moved closer to the island. It seems that something on that island was trying to prevent them from landing. Unfortunately, having nearly exhausted their supplies and manpower, they were forced to retreat back. As they finally reached land, their creature grew into some sort of sea serpent. And later that night, the prince dreamt of the sea serpent, who whispered that what they seek was not on the island, but underneath it...
As you progress further with Trilune's Covenant, you are visited by the mother: a symbol of stability, power and protection. She advises you to stay on path towards your goal until the end, for that sense of fulfillment is a feeling worth aiming for.

Hey there, fellow adventurers in the realm of science! I hope you're enjoying Gaia's holiday festivities, which include our friend Old Pete, occasional co-host to our erstwhile pal Timmy-- best of luck, Pete! Anyway, we've got two great updates this week:
Fully stocked and recovered, Prince of the Sea's crew once again heads back out to the island. In the middle of their journey, the sea serpent undergoes an unusual transformation. Its blue fabric like fin wraps its entire body as it falls into a slumber state. What will become of it as they reach the mysterious island?
This evolution of Zodiacal features the responsible and hardworking Capricorn. They are clever and ambitious, and set high standards for themselves and their efforts. Reserved and prudent, they are a class act, forever faithful to those they love.
That's all for now, friends! You may now return to your powerful eggnog stupor-- but first, remember to stop by our weekly EI poll to vote for your favorite items. As always, you can pick up these scientific marvels in the Cash Shop.

Looks like things are heating up in the tropical sun for Gary's Island Adventure! Long ago, back when our hobo pal Old Pete was guest-co-hosting this program, he rattled off a list of evolving items straight out of his anti-freeze addled imagination. Now, one of those items has entered the realm of reality! You can trade in your Wing Stickers for the formula over at The Treehouse. This week, Gary finds himself clinging to life after a mysterious shipwreck...
