• February 18 - Gaia is born.
• February 21 - The Chatterbox is created.
• February 22 - The Guild is created.
• Darker skin tones are added.

• March 7 - The First Gaian Annual Ball.
• March 20 - The first Rollback occurs.
• March 25 - Rare Events are introduced.
• The dressing room is added to stores.

• April 1 - The Personals are created.
• April 20 - The first Easter event.
• The trading system is introduced.
• The Exchange Forum is born.
• Pink Links are added.

• May 20 - Isle de Gambino was added to the world map, introducing Sasha, Ruby, Peyo, and Meredith along with Gambino Outfitters, Gambino Hat Rack, and the Bank of Gambino.
• May 24 - The Halo is the first donation item released.

• October 7 - Gaia experienced a rollback due to a hardware error.
• October 25 - The Devil Tail and Angelic Sash are released as donation items in the October 2003 Donation Letters.
• October 29 - A Halloween 2k3 layout is temporarily added.
• October 31, 2003- Gaia celebrates Halloween with Trick or Treating, introduction of NPC Jack.

• November 5 - Name and gender change are activated.
• November 25 - The OMG Hat and AFK Hat are released as donation items in the November 2003 Donation Letters.
• November 29 - Gaia reaches 16.7 million posts (that was the post limit at the time).

• December 25 - The Nitemare Scarf and Angelic Scarf are released as donation items in the December 2003 Donation Letters.
• December 25 - The first Christmas Event takes place giving users Jolly Hats and Jolly Slippers.
